We're proud to share that our short video, A Critical Link in Rural Arizona Healthcare (entered as "REACH"), won first place in the Arizona Rural Health Association's (AzRHA) 2026 Rural Digital Storytelling Contest.

AzRHA invited Arizonans to share short digital stories about health and well-being in rural communities, centered on rural perspectives and authentic voices. Our entry follows the roads, hospitals and people that link rural, tribal and frontier communities to the care their patients need.

In announcing the winners, AzRHA said the video "highlights the unique healthcare challenges and opportunities facing Arizona's rural and tribal communities" and "showcases the dedication of healthcare providers and organizations working to ensure that patients have access to critical services, support, and resources regardless of location." The association also noted that "REACH" "effectively elevates the voices and experiences of rural Arizona residents and exemplifies the power of digital storytelling to inspire awareness and positive change."

We made the video to tell a story of connection rather than statistics or technology. Every transfer request stands for a patient, a family and a community, all counting on hospitals and care teams across Arizona working together. The video is a thank-you to the transfer coordinators, tribal partners, frontline teams and hospitals who make that happen every day.

Thank you to the Arizona Rural Health Association for the recognition and for lifting up rural health stories from across the state. You can also see the announcement on AzRHA's website.
